Abhilashi University atChailchowk, Mandi is established by the Government of Himachal Pradesh vide AbhilashiUniversity (Establishment & Regulation) Act, 2014'. Abhilashi University isa Government recognized University with a right to confer degrees as perSection 2(f) and 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956. The University received B+ Gradefrom NAAC in its 1st Cycle. The campus of the University is located at Chailchowknear Mandi (H.P.) and surrounded by lush green fields, pine and oak foreststhus becomes an ideal place for study in a clean health-oriented environment.The Abhilashi Educational Society, a pioneer in private education in HimachalPradesh, envisioned this tranquil setting to promote a focused andhealth-oriented
learning atmosphere. There are a number of places worth visiting nearby theUniversity such as Nachan Valley, Jeeuni Valley, Janjehli Valley, Balh Valley,Sundernagar and Mandi towns. One can also enjoy snowfall once a while duringthe winter season. The fresh and pollution free air of this region keeps theminds of the students active and help them to concentrate on their studies.
The management of the University, Abhilashi Educational Society, is a pioneerin managing private educational institutions in the state of Himachal Pradesh.The foundation stone of the Society was laid by Late Sh. Tulsi Ram Abhilashi Jion May 21, 2001.
The students and their parents have put faith in the quality education impartedby efficient and dedicated faculty of institutions managed by AbhilashiEducational Society for the last 25 years. The Society is presently runningmany educational institutions of basic and technical education in the region.It includes: Abhilashi College of Education at Nerchowk, Mandi established in2003 and running D.El.Ed and B.Ed., Abhilashi College of Pharmacy, Nerchowk,Mandi from 2006 and onwards admitting students for B. Pharmacy Degree Programme;Abhilashi P.G. Institute of Sciences at Nerchowk, Mandi from offering M.Sc.Courses in Chemistry and Botany, T.R. Abhilashi Memorial Institute ofEngineering and Technology (TRAMIET) established in 2009
imparting education in the B. Tech., Diploma & ITI programmes in differentdisciplines of engineering and technology. Abhilashi College of Nursing atTanda, P.O. Balt, Distt Mandi is imparting education in B.Sc. Nursing, GNM andPost-Basic B.Sc., M.Sc. Nursing courses. Keeping in view the requirement ofpeople of Chailchowk and surrounding areas, Abhilashi Hospital has beenestablished and is operational at Chailchowk since October, 2020.
