Faculty Of Pharmacy


Diploma in Pharmacy (Allopathy)

A person who has completed D. Pharmacy along with training can register as a Registered Pharmacist in any of the state council and can practice as community pharmacist (Medical Store/Chemists & Druggists) or a hospital pharmacist. It is the minimum qualification to practice pharmacy profession in India; therefore, it is mandatory that all dispensing of prescription has to be done under the supervision of a pharmacist only. He/ She can also work as a medical representative & also work in any manufacturing industry.

Duration: Duration of the course is 2 years with each academic year spread over not less than 180 working days. A candidate needs to complete a compulsory training of minimum 500 hours in Hospital after completion of second year of the course.

Seats: 60

Eligibility: The Candidate should be complete 10+2 examination in Science with Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects: Mathematics or Biology (Botany and Zoology) from a recognized institution of Himachal Pradesh or outside H.P. State.

Admission Procedure: For admission to D. Pharmacy the eligible candidate will register himself/herself through either online mode at website portal or manually after coming to the university. After investigating the application, candidate seeking admission will be called for the test/interview. He/she will produce necessary documents including Aadhar card, provisional or original certificates of qualification required for the admission. After approval of the competent authority, candidate will pay the admission fees as per the university norms.

Bachelor of Pharmacy

Bachelor of Pharmacy is a 4-year programme, divided equally into 8 semesters, offered at the graduate level in India. It is the essential and fundamental requirement for stepping in the field of Pharmacy. The course is designed to develop pharmacy professional to meet the requirement of Pharmaceutical Industry or to practice pharmacy in a community or hospital pharmacy.

Duration: Duration of the course is 4 years equally divided into 8 semesters. A candidate needs to complete the prescribed training in Pharmaceutical Industry.

Seats: 60

Eligibility: For Admission to first year of B. Pharmacy candidate must have completed intermediate/10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized board/University; securing minimum 45% (40% SC/ST) with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with any one of Mathematics/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology.
For Admission to second year of B. Pharm. (Lateral entry) Candidate should have completed 2years Diploma in Pharmacy from recognized college/institute with minimum 60% marks.

Admission procedure: For admission to B. Pharmacy the eligible candidate will register himself/herself through either online mode at website portal or manually after coming to the college. After investigating the application, candidate seeking admission will be called for the test/interview. He/she will produce necessary documents including Aadhar card, provisional or original certificates of qualification required for the admission. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D)

Pharm. D also known as  Doctorate of Pharmacy A candidate who has completed Pharm. D along with internship can be registered as a registered Clinical Pharmacist in any of the state councils and can practice as a  Pharmacist, Medical writer, Clinical Research Associate, Medical transcription, Coding Executive, Research scientist , pharmaceutical industry, pharmacovigilance and Pharmacy teacher etc.

Duration: Pharm. D course is a professional pharmacy doctoral programme of 6-year duration which includes 5 years of academic study and 01 year of internship or residency in Hospital.

Seats: 30

Eligibility: The candidate should be a 10+2 examination in science with physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subject’s math or biology with a minimum of 60% marks for a recognized institution of Himachal Pradesh or outside of H.P State.

Admission Procedure: For admission to Pharm. D The eligible candidate will register himself/herself through either online mode at a website portal or manually after coming to the university. After investigating the application, candidates seeking admission will be called for the test/interview. She/he will produce the necessary documents including an Aadhar card, and provisional or original certificate of qualification required for admission. Pharm. D Post Baccalaureate (PB)

Lateral entry Doctor of Pharmacy: Pharm. D (PB) is doctoral program.  A candidate who has completed post Baccalaureate (PB) along with internship can be registered as a registered Pharmacist in any of the state council and can practice as a Pharmacist, Medical writer, Clinical Research Associate, Medical transcription, Coding Executive,  pharmaceutical industry, Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacy Teacher etc.

Duration: Pharm. D (PB) course is three years Course in Profession of Pharmacy. The course is 2 years academic and 01 year internship.

Seats: 10

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate should have completed B. Pharmacy with 50% marks from any institute recognized by Pharmacy Council of India.
 
Admission Procedure: For admission in Pharm. D (PB) the eligible candidate will register himself/herself through either online mode at a website portal or manually after coming to the University.  The scrutiny of applications candidates seeking admission will be called for test/interview to prepare the merit list. He/she will produce the necessary documents includes Aadhar Card, provisional or original certificate of qualification required for admission. After approval from the competent authorities, the candidate will pay the admission fee as per university norms.

Masters in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)

Pharmaceutical chemistry basically involved in synthesis and drug development of newer molecule. The course involved both natural and synthetic origin do develop drugs with less side effect and better efficacy medicine use to treat cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and neurological diseases. Scholars are actively conducting research in screening new chemical entities and herbal drugs for their possible therapeutic activities which can be exploited in developing a clinically useful drug molecule.


Duration: Duration of the course is 2 years divided equally into divided into four semesters. The programme includes one-year Lab research work in the field chosen for the specialization.

Masters in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics)

The course is aimed to make students understand the concepts behind the development of pharmaceutical dosage forms including novel drug delivery systems by imparting skillful learning blended with practical skills. After completion of the course, the students will have a thorough knowledge in the design, development, manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, in-process quality control, stability and regulatory aspects of pharmaceutical dosage forms.

Masters in Pharmacy (Pharmacognosy)

We offer M. Pharmacy in various specializations, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy.

Eligibility: The admission to M Pharmacy degree course shall be made on the basis of merit of valid GPAT score. In case the seats remain vacant after exhausting the merit of GPAT, the vacant seats will be filled up on the basis of merit of AUCET. In case the seats still remain vacant after exhausting the merit of National level test and AUCET, the seats will be filled up on the basis of merit of B. Pharmacy degree awarded by the recognized University having minimum 55% for Gen and 50% for (SC/ST).

Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science

School of Pharmacy offer Ph.D. program in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Abhilashi University select the candidate strictly according to the merit and availability of seats through Entrance Test followed by Interview.

Ph.D. Ordinance of Abhilashi University, covered under comprehensive research policy available on its website, governs the Ph.D. Program.

Eligibility:
A candidate with 55% marks (50% for ST/SC) at Master level in concern specialization. The admission shall be through AUCET except those who have qualified UGC-NET/CSIR (JRF, NET)/SLET/GPAT/direct awardees of DST/ICMR/DRDO/INSPIRE and other state or central level fellowship.
